Many travelers head toTokyo Disney Resort from the airport or one of Tokyo’s major train stations.

In this guide, I’ll show you how to get there from Tokyo Station– the city’s central hub and a major stop for the Shinkansen.

There are three main ways to travel from Tokyo Station to Tokyo Disney Resort: by train, bus, or taxi.

I’ll explain each option with travel time, cost, and what to expect. This way, you can choose the method that fits your trip best and enjoy a smooth start to your Disney day!

From Tokyo Station to Tokyo Disney – Overview

Tokyo Disney Resort is about 15 km from Tokyo Station.

You can get there by train, bus, or taxi. Each option has a different travel time and cost, so it’s best to choose the one that matches your travel style.

Tokyo Station to Tokyo Disney by Train (Keiyo Line)

The most common way to reach Tokyo Disney Resort from Tokyo Station is by taking the JR Keiyo Line train.

It’s the cheapest and fastest option, which is why most travelers choose it.

The Long Walk to the Keiyo Line Platform

There are two main ways to reach the Keiyo Line:

  • From the Marunouchi side (outside the ticket gates)
  • From the Yaesu side (inside the ticket gates)

In this guide, I’ll show you the Yaesu side route, which is closer to the Shinkansen tracks.

The walking time is about the same for both routes, and there are plenty of signs.As long as you follow them, you’ll get there without a problem.

For Yaesu South Side

Walk toward the Yaesu South side inside the station. Soon you’ll see signs for the Keiyo Line.

Follow Keiyo Line Signs

Follow the “Keiyo Line” signs through the underground passage. It’s about a 10-minute walk.

Go Down to B4 Level

Take the escalator or elevator down to the 4th basement floor (B4).

Keiyo Line Platform

You’ll arrive at the Keiyo Line platforms (usually Track 3 or 4).

There are plenty of signs, and even colored lines on the floor — just follow them and you’ll get there.
If you have kids or heavy luggage, give yourself some extra time.

From Tokyo Station to Maihama Station

The ride from Tokyo Station to Maihama Station takes about 15 minutes by train, with no transfers needed. Since the Keiyo Line platform is far inside Tokyo Station, plan on a total of 25–35 minutes from the ticket gates.

Trains to Maihama leave every few minutes from the Keiyo Line platforms, so you don’t need to worry about checking the schedule.

Once you arrive at Maihama, Tokyo Disneyland is right next to the station — only about a 5-minute walk.

From Maihama Station to Tokyo DisneySea

If you’re going to Tokyo DisneySea, take the Disney Resort Line monorail.

From Maihama Station, ride one stop to Resort Gateway Station, then continue on the Resort Line to Tokyo DisneySea Station.

The trip takes about 10 minutes and costs ¥260.

Tokyo Station to Tokyo Disney by Bus

If you’re traveling in the morning, the direct bus from Tokyo Station is another convenient option.

You can sit comfortably all the way to Disney, and unlike the train, the bus goes directly to Tokyo DisneySea without a transfer.

It’s also good for families with kids or travelers with luggage (note: only one suitcase per person can be stored in the trunk).

The bus for Tokyo Disney only runs in the morning:

  • Weekdays: 5 buses between 8:00–10:00
  • Weekends & holidays: 3 buses between 8:00–9:00

For the return, note that buses back to Tokyo Station are only available in the evening and in limited numbers.

Where to Board the bus at Tokyo Station

Buses to Tokyo Disney Resort leave from the Yaesu South Exit Bus Terminal at Tokyo Station.
The terminal is just outside the Yaesu South Exit, right in front of the station.

The buses depart from JR Highway Bus Stop #5.

The bus for Tokyo disney Resort cannot be reserved in advance. Boarding is first-come, first-served. If the bus is full, you’ll need to wait for the next one.

Travel Time and Fare

The ride takes about 30–40 minutes, depending on road traffic. The fare is ¥730 (adult).

Unlike the train, where you may have to stand, on the bus you’ll have a seat and can relax until you arrive.

How to pay:

  • Cash: Buy your ticket in advance from the ticket machine.
  • IC card: Tap your card when boarding the bus.

Tokyo Station to Tokyo Disney by Taxi

Taking a taxi is the most convenient and comfortable option, though it costs more than train or bus.

With no transfers and door-to-door service, it’s especially helpful for families with small children or travelers carrying large luggage.

The ride takes about 30–40 minutes. The fare is usually ¥6,000–8,000, depending on traffic and time of day.

Taxi Stands at Tokyo Station

There are taxi stands at both the Yaesu Exit and the Marunouchi Exit of Tokyo Station.

Most travelers use the Yaesu side, as it’s directly connected to the Shinkansen area and has more taxis available.

You can also use taxi apps to call a car without waiting at the stand.

The GO app is the easiest way to call a taxi in Tokyo. It’s simple to use and very common, so even first-time visitors can use it with confidence.

Here are a few useful tips for getting from Tokyo Station to Tokyo Disney.

Using IC Cards for Smooth Travel

If you’re taking the train or bus, using a transportation IC card like Suica or PASMO is much easier than buying single tickets.

  • Just tap at the ticket gates
  • No need to look for a ticket machine on the way to the Keiyo Line platform
  • Works on buses as well

IC cards are not only useful for getting to Disney, but also for almost all trains and buses around Tokyo and the greater Tokyo area. Having one card makes your whole trip smoother.
